Postcard Biography
I created these designs because I think they are, or will be once completed, an accurate representation of my personality. The colors I wish to include such as pink, blue, purple, red and yellow are depictions of my personality in color form. All of these colors will not be present in each design, but I wanted to experiment with each of them. The designs of each idea do vary, but I enjoyed experimenting with different ideas to find what works best. The graphics and designs chosen are simple, which I thought was best, considering the use of color and the amount of text that will be later included. I don’t want the post car to look too busy as that is not the focus of this assignment. The biography is where I will add the flare that the assignment needs through words and font choices. The graphics and design of my postcard will be supplemental and used to add to the overall meaning behind the postcard. The second thumbnail is my favorite so far and stands out among the rest. It includes a header that says “Greetings From…” and then my name below it. I thought this was a fun take on the classic postcard design while still making it my own by including my biography, photo, and my color choices. I also thought to include this because I love to travel and thought what better way to express my personality than through a redesigned take on the classic postcard.
BIO: *edited
Chelsea is currently enrolled at Buffalo State College as a Communications major. She is a junior and hopes to graduate in the Spring of 2019. Currently, on top of going to school full time, she has been working full time at Tim Hortons as a supervisor for the past four years. After graduation Chelsea hopes to find a job in the sport public relations field, ideally working with the Buffalo Sabres or the Buffalo Bills. In her free time Chelsea enjoys hanging out with her friends and her boyfriend. They like to go to the movies, out to eat, and adventure (usually in the form of hiking or exploring new places). When the weather allows, they like to go camping. Chelsea and her family also go camping four times a year (winter, twice in the summer, and fall). Her favorite place to go is the Adirondacks even though it requires her to tent camp, rather than staying in a cozy cabin. Chelsea is the oldest of her three sisters and has a dog, Gemma, and a cat, Jax. Jax is her favorite, although she is allergic to cats this doesn’t stop her from cuddling her cat to sleep every night. Those around her would describe her as funny, friendly, and caring.
The bio is written well; change "Buffalo Sabres of the Buffalo Bills” should be “or,” however, the bio needs to be at least 200 words, and you are currently at 151.
ReplyDeleteSome of your body copy is indicated in the thumbnails as a square or rectangle, and it should be indicated with the lines, like in the thumbnail video and the visual example given with the Postcard Project post on the class blog. and your bio pic should not be indicated with a square or rectangle, as you need to indicate the text wrap around the pic, like in the video for this project on creating a silhouette around the photo, as well as a text wrap.
edit the first two thumbnails, and create them per the instructions so that the header, the bio pic, the body copy, the text wrap, and all your graphics are properly indicated.
